Also I see well-meaning people reproducing bad history related to this all the time

@AnndraADunn @hollyamory I have a lot of feelings about Scottish Nationalism as someone who grew up with English family and an English accent in Central Scotland, where reflexive anti-Englishness was a in-group bonding activity.
